Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter the “Company”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that on June 28, 2018, to enable the operation of the incentive program based on the remuneration policy announced on March 28, 2018, the Company purchased 443,780 Magyar Telekom ordinary shares (HU0000073507) over the counter from the Magyar Telekom Plc. Employee Share Ownership Program Organization (ESOP Organization) at HUF 401 per share in order to harmonize the number of shares held by the ESOP Organization and the number of employees having members’ shares in the ESOP Organization.
Following this transaction Magyar Telekom holds 3,873,928 treasury shares.
