Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter the “Company”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that the remuneration condition of the incentive program based on the new remuneration policy announced in the interim financial report on May 10, 2017 was met thus to conclude the program on March 26, 2018, the Company repurchased 5,058,417 Magyar Telekom ordinary shares (HU0000073507) over the counter from the Magyar Telekom Plc. Employee Share Ownership Program Organization (ESOP Organization) at HUF 445 per share. The income will be used by the ESOP Organization to pay the remuneration condition dependent bonuses of the eligible employees in cash. Following the transaction the number of treasury shares held by Magyar Telekom increased to 5,058,417.
