Designed bins and colorful switching cabinets at the Valley of Arts

Budapest, July 27, 2007

The Valley of Arts will enchant visitors also this summer, which is strewn with heat alerts and super concerts raising awareness to the climate change because there, they can forget about all these problems and find entertainment and recreation picking and choosing from hundreds of attractive programs. Magyar Telekom will be present at this grand summer art festival for the fifth time this year, contributing such forms of support which help enhance the spirit of the place and create its unique atmosphere. The Valley of Arts starts on 27th July and ends at 5th August.

This year too the stone mine of Öcs will be the venue of the T-Com World Music Stage, which last year attracted thousands of music lovers. This time the music experience will be enhanced by a raypainting show. Many people may already have partaken of this fantastic visual experience, as Magyar Telekom has been sponsoring raypainting shows around Christmastime in Budapest for some years now. The same show in the magic environment of the stone mine of the Káli basin will certainly give spectators a lifelong experience.

Traffic jams are a recurrent problem in the valley because most people come by car. In an effort to save the environment and give people a comfortable transport option, T-Com will operate bicycle rental points in Taliándörög and Monostorapáti for the first time this year.

Magyar Telekom will also display in the valley such projects which are designed to improve the looks of the cities. The goal of the street garbage bin project is to make up the boring-looking urban refuse bins in a creative manner, and the switching cabinet project is doing the same with the gray street switching cabinets. The winning projects of the first competition will be displayed in the Vasudvar of Taliándörögd, while during the one-week festival young artists will be given the opportunity to create pieces of art out of the old outdoor distribution boxes of T-Com.

Beside the above Magyar Telekom will naturally provide telecommunications support, as well. The Telekom Digital Bridge program, which anyone can join free of charge in the gym hall of the Kapolcs school, will give visitors the opportunity to get hands-on knowledge of   Internet usage, while more experienced users can surf the net at liberty. The T-Com Hot Spot service is also designed to give free Internet access to those visitors who have a notebook.
