Equality of opportunities film club for employees

Budapest, March 7, 2007

The film club called “Szabad az Á” (Trespassers Will), where Magyar Telekom employees can see documentaries addressing equality of opportunities, continues and from now on can be viewed also on the intranet. The film is followed by a discussion and online chat where employees can put questions to the film-makers.

The film club will start again on March 7 in Magyar Telekom’s Headquarters with the projection of a series of documentaries made by Csaba Szekeres addressing the problems of mentally handicapped people. It is interesting that this time not only the attendees can watch the film; it will be transmitted over the intranet simultaneously with the projection. After the film projection questions can be put to the film-makers in a live discussion and online chat.

After the projections the guests (director and people concerned) will talk with the employees and attendees about the given subject with the help of a moderator.
The film club launched last autumn dealt first with the subject of minority communities. Sándor Sára’s film “Gypsies” and among the Roma Media School students’ short films Juci Csík’s “Feathery” and János Révész/Norbert Rónai’s “Fradi is better” were shown at the event.
After the projection the employees talked with the film-makers.
