„Sustainability is close to our heart, therefore the company pays highlighted attention to those living with deficiencies and to our socially responsible approach towards them” – said Christopher Mattheisen, chief executive officer of the company. „Our associates initiated that around year end, as the holiday season approaches we help the social groups in need, in the frame of a corporate level initiative. This is why six years ago – connected to the International Volunteer Day – we launched the Giving is Good! Cookie Action, benefitting organizations that grant their support to overcome social problems, that both the company Sustainability Media Club attach special importance to. This way in the past years we helped a kindergarten maintained for ill-fated families, granted support to maintaining workplaces for young people living with deficiencies, to children living in the SOS Children Villages as well as the Tábitha Child Hospice Houses. In 2016 – similarly to last year – in the frame of a strategic partnership we assist the residential homes supported by the Autistic Art Foundation, and their art therapy program” – the chief executive officer added.

The 2016 cookie action bear the special feature that a volunteering Telekom associate - Fischer Tamás assisted by his 11 colleagues– also built the model of the new Telekom headquarters currently under construction made of ginger bread, within the present Telekom headquarters in Budapest. The model will be exhibited in Bálna, Budapest from 21 December 2016 till 29 January 2017.
