Within the frame of the theme week 79 presentations will be delivered in 47 schools, all around Hungary.

The Challenge

In addition, Become an IT Expert! is expanded by adding an online adventure game available on the website of the program, called „The Challenge”. Teams composed of 9-12th grade secondary school students can participate in the game, they are required to resolve tasks requiring algorithmic thinking and basic level programming skills.

In Challenge – embedded in an inter-galactic story – teams are required to resolve four identical programming tasks by the deadline, while in the fifth task they have to complete their own development and challenge one of the participating schools. Resolving tasks may require the use of such a programming language that anyone can access through the internet training possibilities available free of charge. Meanwhile, during the game students master skills almost unnoticed that they can utilize also in other areas.

Registration for the game is accepted between March 28 and April 21 on the website of the program and altogether 20 teams can participate.
