If you are not yet a user of the RSS service please read our detailed information
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) means simplified communications published on
content providers' portals and websites; these news channels are accessible for
everyone on the Internet. The news channels contain simplified news which means
that the title and introduction of the news are shown by one entry each in the
news channel but the full news can be accessed by clicking on them. Since a user
may want to read the news of more than one provider, RSS reading programs can
aggregate several news channels.
Why use RSS?
With the RSS service customers can access contents on various portals simply.
With this service the contents of the selected news channels come practically
continuously. Information derived from various sources can be collected in a
single well organized "table of contents". The advantage of RSS is that it is
not necessary to continuously browse your favorite sites because a "selection"
of the latest contents is home delivered. They are not blocked by spam filters,
that is why a rising number of users select this format instead of newsletters
to deliver current news.
What RSS reader programs exist and how can they be downloaded?
Numerous RSS reader programs exist that can be accessed on a browser (e.g.
Google Reader), as well as independently installed programs (e.g. FeedReader
that can be installed under Windows free of charge) are also available. The
latest browser versions support RSS reading at
functional level. Useful tips and information about RSS are available on the
rss.lap.hu website that shows a wide range of related programs.
How to use RSS?
It is very simple to use RSS. All you need is an RSS reader to save the access
points of your favorite new channels. Registration for news groups is simple:
select the icon used for adding a new feed (e.g. "Add new feed") and paste in
the address of the news channel you want to follow.
