The Electronic Communication Act, as well as the modification of rules for electronic communications subscriber contracts signed by the NMIAH presidential decree, valid from the beginning of this year, makes it obligatory to verify the subscriber identity of already existing, prepaid phone numbers eligible for voice call. The data verification requirement does not refer to the SIM-cards eligible exclusively for Internet usage.
Data verification is needed not only for SIM-cards in mobile phones, but also for all devices which require a SIM-card, such as SIM-cards in alarm devices (eligible for voice call), furthermore for SIM-cards placed in meters and meteorological stations. Therefore it's important that if you use a pre-paid SIM-card in modems or devices, which receive no SMS, ask for assistance from our colleagues in our stores.
Individual subscribers can possess maximum 10, business subscribers can possess maximum 50 active, voice service ready prepaid SIM-cards per provider. Please note that in case of MOL mobile and Blue mobile, Magyar Telekom is the provider, therefore MOL mobile and Blue mobile subscriptions also count into the limit imposed by law. SIM-cards eligible exclusively for Internet usage (e.g. Net&Roll) on the other hand don't count into the 10 and 50 quantity limit.
In case of purchased subscriptions being above the limit, you have to make a statement in our stores until 30th June 2017 regarding which subscriptions you would like to keep. The subscription contracts you do not make a statement about, or you do not make a statement about at all, will be disabled as of 1st July 2017, even if data verification was successful in case of some SIM-cards.
