Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter the “Company”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that its Chief Human Resources Officer, Éva Somorjai has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Deutsche Telekom Group’s European Headquarterswith effect from January 1, 2017.

Éva Somorjai has served as Magyar Telekom’s Chief Human Resources Officer since April 1, 2007.

“Éva Somorjai significantly contributed to Magyar Telekom being an attractive employer, open for future challenges, appreciated both by employees and market players. Éva also earned everlasting merits in establishing the concept of our new Budapest headquarters under construction, which is regarded as the workplace of the future. Éva put major emphasis on paying attention to all the aspects in the course of everyday work, which make Magyar Telekom a truly responsible and sustainable company. We are proud that Éva continues her career in the headquarters of Deutsche Telekom, as not only is this personal verification to her but also to Magyar Telekom, underlining that we are heading the right direction”, said Magyar Telekom’s Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Mattheisen.

Éva Somorjai will remain in her current position at Magyar Telekom until December 31, 2016. Her successor will be announced in due course.
