Matáv has filed an appeal against a HIF resolution in which the Authority imposed HUF 8 million market surveillance fine on the company. The fine was imposed by the Communications Authority due to technical, operational and usage-related irregularities of Matáv GSM phones, primarily the unsuccessful GSM-ISDN fax connections. According to the appeal filed by Matáv for legal remedy the Authority had drawn incorrect legal conclusions when the GSM matter was investigated and the first instance resolution was then based on these. For this reason Matáv requests reversal of the resolution on the HUF 8 million fine
