By March 18, 2003, the number of subscribers choosing the Felező tariff package exceeded 80 000. Following the discounts introduced on Mach 1 some 40 000 people subscribed to the package.

Starting from March Matáv offers its residential customers more discount on wired calls than ever before. From March 1, 2003 the minute fees of the Felező/Halving package decreased substantially, so that the tariff package offers customers more than two hours of free phone calls. By using the tariff package half of the monthly subscription fee of HUF 3210 gross, i.e. HUF 1605, can be spent on phone calls and no call set-up fee is charged on the calls. Starting from March customers can make local and domestic long distance calls within the wired network at HUF 12 gross per minute during the non-peak period, while during the peak period the minute fee is HUF 20 gross .
