Matáv finished in third place with its Csevegő tariff package campaign in the Hungarian EFFIE competition held this year for the second time. The jury of the competition evaluated the market efficiency of the campaigns.

Campaigns presented between January 1, 2002 and May 1, 2003 in the Hungarian media were admitted to the competition. The jury representing the whole spectrum of the Hungarian communication industry (the most outstanding and recognized experts working in leading positions in each sector of the industry) evaluated in two rounds the entries substantiating the efficiency of the given publicity campaign. The judges considered the points given for the efficiency case studies with double weight, the points given for the creative work with single weight. The award presentation gala was held on October 17, 2003 in Thália Theater.

Matáv launched its Csevegő tariff package in December 2001. The tariff package offers 20% discount on the charge of all calls after the 5th minute and 30% discount after the 10th minute until the 60th minute at all times of day. With the Csevegő tariff package half of the monthly subscription fee can be used for Internet access if the customer enters the web on the 06 51 622 622 access number of the Open Internet service.
