On September 12 Ms. Ilinka Mitreva, Macedonian Foreign Affairs Minister met Mr. Elek Straub Chairman Chief Executive Officer of Matáv and the senior management of the company.
Mr. Ferenc Póka, the Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Macedonia also participated in the meeting in Budapest.

In the meeting the senior management of Matáv informed the head of foreign affairs of Macedonia on the operation of Matáv and Maktel and plans for development. Both parties confirmed their intention for long-term mutual cooperation. Mr. Elek Straub emphasized that Matáv was not only interested in the profitable operation of Maktel, but in the development of Hungarian-Macedonian relations as well.
