Yesterday two life-saving items of equipment were formally donated to the Tűzoltó Street Children's Clinic of the Semmelweis University, bought by the Public Utility Foundation for Children with Heart Condition with the money collected on the Matáv donation line.

Klári Katona, spokesperson for the Matáv Donation Line, explained that in the last two months of 2003 almost 9 million HUF was offered on the 1788 donation line, which surpassed the expectations of the foundation. The foundation has now bought the equipment for about 3.5 million HUF, and with the remaining amount it will buy additional medical instruments and equipment for the clinic. The donations were received by Professor Dr. György Fekete, manager of the clinic, and by Dr. Judit Szabolcs, head of the cardiology department, from Gábor Zsengellér, representative of the foundation, and Gyula Szabó, manager of the "Matáv Gives Back "program.
