Budapest,
Following their established tradition, Pannon GSM, T-Com, T-Mobile and
Vodafone initiated joint action to help those in need. Calling or - in
the case of mobile operators - sending a text message to helpline
number 1749, their customers could donate HUF 200 per call/message to
downpour victims. Initiating over 60,000 calls and messages in the less
than three weeks between 27 April and 15 May, customers of the four
operators donated HUF 11.8 million combined. This amount will be used
and channelled directly to victims by the Hungarian Red Cross.
Pannon GSM, T-Com, T-Mobile and Vodafone hereby thank their customers for their selfless and generous support.
