T-Online is the first to launch commercial IPTV service in Hungary  
T-Online Magyarország announced on October 17 that – first in Hungary – they would start to provide, in cooperation with T-Com, IP television service as from November 6. In comparison to „traditional” television the IPTV service to be launched on the market under the name of T-Home TV offers revolutionary new experience – and you can enjoy all the new features on your existing television set, without the application of a computer, using a remote controller and for a very attractive price.

Apart from the extremely good video and audio quality the IPTV provides numerous content services as well which can be considered as novelty. From the new features the digital videotheque that can be accessed on-line; the program recording function; the electronic program guide; the pausable transmission; the child lock function; the delay, replay and picture in the picture functions; the display of bill and package information as well as other interactive capabilities are worth to be highlighted. All these facilities have something in common: the services can be accessed with the remote controller via an easy-to-handle Hungarian menu system shown on the screen of the television set, using the receiver unit of the IPTV (set-top-box).
