From September 8, Magyar Telekom will offer its wireline services under the name T-Home. As of today, T-Home replacing three former brands (T-Com, T-Online, T-Kábel) offers its services with a new product portfolio and discounts. Based on the renewed range of products, customers can put together the most advantageous packages and may receive discounts depending on the number of services used. For example, a package including 24 TV channels, 2 Mbps Internet and telephone costs only HUF 6480 per month with the T-Home Triple discount. Using the most up-to-date technologies, the construction of a completely new, large bandwidth network will be started this year. In addition, Magyar Telekom will be the only service provider in the country offering (via T-Home and T-Mobile) TV, Internet and telephone by wire and mobile, at home and on the move.

T-Home will be the brand of wireline home communications and entertainment services. With the introduction of T-Home, wireline offers targeting private entrepreneurs, small and medium-size companies will also be reshaped. In line with the earlier announcements and parallel to the market entrance of T-Home, “T” representing Magyar Telekom will be renewed, as well as T-Mobile, the mobile service brand. T-Systems (that has already undergone an image reshaping) will continue to serve its customers as the brand of small and large company solutions, infocommunication (telecommunications + IT) services.

Both literally and in a figurative sense, T-Home will bring new colors in wireline telecommunication. The transformed product range and newly starting significant network developments (e.g. a technology offering HDTV and up to 25 Mbps download rate in 100 000 households already from October 8) will present new benefits for the customers. In addition, the brands T-Home and T-Mobile will complement each other by offering TV, Internet and telephone through a single service provider – both at home and on the move. Establishing connections between people and share experiences at home or on the move will be even easier.

With the introduction of the new discount system, T-Home’s comprehensive packages serving the needs of the whole family with TV, Internet and telephone can be purchased with very advantageous conditions. T-Home’s customers can select the schemes that best suit their needs; they can achieve significant savings after September 8 using T-Home Double or T-Home Triple discounts for two or three services, respectively. New discounts are valid for packages defined after September 8 irrespective of whether the customer uses the services in a traditional wireline network or cable, subscribes to IPTV, digital or analog TV broadcasts, traditional or Internet-based telephone.

With the new discount schemes for example a package including 24 TV channels, IPTV with digital video on demand, up to 2 Mbps Internet access and Internet-based DSL telephone with 1 year loyalty commitment will be available at a monthly fee of HUF 6480. The TV channels in this package include public service broadcasts, major domestic commercial TV channels, music, sports, film and foreign language channels; in the digital video on demand visitors can choose from 700 different movies (for a “rental fee”). The Internet package comprises up to 2 Mbps download and 192 kbps upload rates, and allows 0.5 GB data traffic; each additional GB started costs HUF 990. With the DSL telephone - also included in the monthly fee - subscribers in this package can make calls to other DSL subscribers at a minute fee of HUF 0. Customers rerquiring unlimited monthly traffic and an even richer TV choice, T-Home offers (with a loyalty contract covering one year) IPTV with 49 channels, unlimited Internet access with a 2 Mbps download rate as well as Internet-based telephone calls at a monthly fee of HUF 8880.

T-Home IPTV offered in these packages contains a digital TV program newsletter, recording and pause options as well as digital video on demand. Subscribers can query programs by actor or director; access to the programs can be set with the child lock. The ‘picture in picture’ function and language selection (Hungarian or original language) provide convenient solutions; Origo news and the programs of nearly forty web radios are also available. If you already have T-Home Internet and TV subscription, the Basic package of T-Home IPTV (24 channels) can be ordered (with a loyalty contract covering one year) at a monthly price of HUF 1990 (using the T-Home Triple discount); the Family package (49 channels) costs HUF 3390 per month under similar conditions; the monthly fee of the Extra package (64 channels) amounts to HUF 4690. Additional thematic/supplementary packages can also be ordered.

Naturally, similar packages and prices are also available in T-Home’s cable network   - with analog or digital cable TV, cablenet and cablephone services.

From today, new T-Home offers are available in detail on the webpage www.t-home.hu - replacing the Internet pages of the former brands. Regarding questions about geographical coverage, technical issues and additional conditions, Telekom staff will be glad to offer further detailed information at T-Home’s Call Center (phone number 1412) as well as in the T-Point and T-Partner shops. Information about the bandwidth of Internet access included in the packages, as well as about guaranteed minimal down and upload speeds is available to customers at the T-Home website.
