October is breast cancer awareness month worldwide. In connection with this event the Health Bridge cooperation will hold the Chain Bridge Walk and Pink Health Day for the seventh time. This year on Sunday October 5, health and entertainment programs will be offered to families and all citizens at the Pest side of the Chain Bridge in front of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and in the surrounding streets from 10 a.m. all day long. A scientific conference will be held in the Headquarters of MTA. In the evening, after the traditional Chain Bridge Walk Zagar will stage a concert to close the event.

The Health Bridge Cooperation Association was established in 2006 with the objective to continue in an organized form the fight against breast cancer carried out by the Health Bridge Cooperation operating since 2002. The members of the Association include the major anti-cancer lay and professional medical organizations, and private persons also participate in the operation of the organization. The major objective of the Health Bridge Cooperation Association is to reduce breast cancer mortality and promote early diagnosis with all available means.

In addition to traditional ways of donation the association has been and is attempting to collect donations also with new methods still not known in Hungary while at the same time transmitting messages. In the fall of 2008 one of the means of collecting donations is the Cooperation T-Shirt.

Magyar Telekom is an active sponsor of the Cooperation T-Shirt and fight against breast cancer.
