With the Matáv Roaming Card, calls can be made from Hungary to domestic areas or abroad as well as from abroad to another location abroad or Hungary. The card - similarly to 'domino' card offered by mobile service providers - can be bought in advance, and calls can be made for up to the entire amount of the card's nominal value of HUF 3000 or HUF 6000.

Roaming International Call Card users need not pay subscription or entry fees. Thanks to Internet Protocol technology, outgoing international calls can be made for one of the cheapest per minute charges available in Hungary. The service is only available from tone mode subscriber and public phones in the Matáv service area in Hungary and in 41 countries around the world.

With the Roaming Card, calls can be made from Hungary to foreign countries as well as to foreign countries from abroad for the 'normal' or the cheaper 'IP' charges. Calls from Hungary to domestic numbers as well as calls from abroad to Hungary can only be made for the 'normal' per minute charge. In addition to the Roaming Card, World Card, which was introduced on July 20, 1998, will also be available in the future, because, due to the different payment methods and tariffs, the two international card services complement and do not replace each other.
