On July 28, 2000 Matáv's Communications Director Bálint Nagy handed over 300 "Barangoló" phone cards to the members of the Hungarian Olympic Team enabling them to make free calls from Australia to Hungary for a total of 5140 minutes.

On July 28, 2000 the Hungarian Olympic Committee held its Olympic Team Meeting in the Budapest Convention Center where the list of Hungarian Olympic Team members was announced. At the Team Meeting MATÁV, the Hungarian Olympic Team's official telecommunications partner and gold level sponsor, was represented by Communications Director Bálint Nagy who handed over 300 "Barangoló" ["Rambler"] phone cards with an individual value of HUF 3000 to Pál Schmitt, Chairman of the Hungarian Olympic Committee. The members of the Hungarian Olympic Team can use the cards to make free calls from Australia to Hungary for a total duration of 5140 minutes.
