Matáv agreement with the Ghymes group and Ákos
Budapest,
In
2002 the Ghymes group will present their distinctive music rooted in
Central and Eastern European folk music in a national tour with 40
concerts. This year the group will release an album jointly produced
with László Földes (Hobo) with the title ’Bakaballada’ (Foot soldier’s
ballad), a book on the 17 years’ history of Ghymes and a new studio
album on CD and cassette.
The successful cooperation between Ákos and Matáv in 2001 will continue
in 2002. Ákos, who has already published various poetry books, will
present his poetry album with the title ‘A hét parancsszó’ (The seven
commands) on stage. He will also release this year an English-language
version of his album ’Hűség’ (Loyalty) and a related video clip. The
new album is expected to be out in August and naturally his fans can
see him live in concerts during the summer in various towns of Hungary.
