On July 8, 2003, Iván Vetési, Deputy-Director of Matáv, and János Dudics, Managing Director of Tak-Invest Kft., concluded an agreement for a 3 year period, representing a value of HUF 700 million. In pursuance of the contract, Matáv provides data connections for the over 300 branches of 50 cooperative savings associations. The solution includes the implementation of a star topology leased line network between the center and the branch offices of each cooperative savings association, as well as sales of Cisco active network devices.

Matáv's Business Solutions LOB has developed a complex service supporting the development of data transmission and safety systems at cooperative savings associations. 3 member companies of the Matáv Group - Matávcom Kft, BCN Kft and SafeCom Rt. are also involved. The offer is based on the MultiLAN service and on the use of a video monitoring system.

The contract signed today covers establishing data connections for 300 branch offices of cooperative savings associations in the context of a project planned to take 1 year. Using such networks and the smallbank software of Tak-Invest, cooperative savings associations will be able to operate a centralized system that also meets the EU requirements. An agreement for 3 years, representing a value of HUF 700 million has been concluded for the installation and operation of the network of each financial institution. Under this agreement, Matáv undertakes to schedule network investment according to the demands, and to provide high reliability services which will also meet future requirements, quality CISCO products, and last but not least, significant discounts. In the first phase of the project, the installation of a data communication network for 35 cooperative savings associations with nearly 200 termination points will be started. Taking into account this agreement, as well as its agreements with smallbank software suppliers, Matáv, in cooperation with its partners, provides complex telecommunications and IT solutions for 75-80% of the cooperative savings association market.

Based on our experiences so far, we can state that it is a great advantage for the user that Matáv offers professional and customized services which conform to the regulations, and in so doing, offers interconnected data communication and security solutions from a single source.
