This award given to the director of the orchestra financed by Magyar Telekom represents a recognition not only of his artistic work over three decades, but also of his consistent orchestra building activity that has contributed to enrichment of the national culture. Gábor Dienes, the symphony orchestra’s oboist also received a Liszt Ferenc Prize on the national day.
