At the lectures held in the framework of the Telekom Internet Academy, computer and Internet usage is presented by experts with the help of practical examples, giving useful tips to participants interested in the web. The goal is to enable people to use their computer and Internet in a simple, easy and efficient way, and help them to find pleasure in net surfing. It is an indication of the popularity of the Academy that more than 5500 people have participated in the training up to the end of September, and interest has been growing continuously ever since.

In the framework of this initiative available for everybody and promoting the roll-out of the information society, T-Com and T-Online have been organizing highly popular, free Internet training programs for new and advanced users of the web for three years. At the lectures, participants get a brief overview of the opportunities to be found in Internet usage as well as the ways of exploiting them; all these activities are supported by practical experience. The basic goal of the program is to introduce and popularize a culture of advanced information technology and Internet usage, and to promote ADSL roll-out and awareness.

In the course of the lectures (lasting 1-1.5 hours and supported by practical examples), experts address issues of computer and Internet usage and give useful ideas that can help all participants to enjoy net surfing. At the end of the lectures, participants receive a booklet and a CD assisting them when using the Internet. Besides the Budapest venue, lectures will be organized in country centers, at Debrecen, Győr, Miskolc, Nyíregyháza, Pécs and Zalaegerszeg.
