Change in Magyar Telekom Group’s top management

Róbert Budafoki, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer Enterprise and T-Systems Hungary Ltd. Co.’s Chief Executive Officer shall depart from both of his positions with effect from September 30, 2013. Tibor Rékasi shall take over the Chief Executive Officer position of T-Systems and the Chief Commercial Officer Enterprise position of Magyar Telekom.

Róbert Budafoki was appointed Magyar Telekom’s Chief Officer and head of Enterprise Services with effect from June 01, 2011. From April 01, 2012 he assumed the CEO position of T-Systems Hungary, then from January 01, 2013 the Chief Commercial Officer Enterprise position of Magyar Telekom.

Following the good financials of last year, T-Systems achieved a 4.7% increase in revenues in the first half of 2013, compared to the previous year, and the Company’s EBITDA exceeded the planned level in the first half year, too.Róbert has played a major role in positioning T-Systems Hungary in the state administration and enterprise segments, as well as in elaborating and launching the company’s forward looking strategy, which puts customer demand in the focus. I would like to express my appreciation for the work Róbert has performed, which has contributed to the company’s success. I also wish him all the best with his future endeavors,” said Magyar Telekom’s CEO, Christopher Mattheisen.

Tibor Rékasi graduated at the Foreign Trade College of Budapest. His former workplaces include Integra LLC, Unisys Hungary and Cisco Systems Hungary. He joined Magyar Telekom Group on September 15, 2008, assuming the Managing Director position of IQSYS Ltd. Co., an affiliate of the Enterprise Services Business Unit, where he simultaneously worked as Commercial Director. Between December 2010 and May 2011, he also acted temporarily as Head of Magyar Telekom Plc.’s Enterprise Services Business Unit, while continuing his work as Managing Director of IQSYS Ltd. Co. As his predecessor, he shall also be a member of Magyar Telekom Plc.’s Management Committee.
