Year on year, the trainee programme of Telekom gets ever more popular

In September 2013 Magyar Telekom starts recruiting trainees again. Between September 23 and October 20 applications may be entered on the company’s homepage. More than 1,000 students entered applications for the trainee programme in the previous semester.

From February 2014 Magyar Telekom launches again its trainee programme, serving dual purposes: offering an excellent possibility to college and university students to earn real work experiences, giving the very best a chance to start their career at Telekom – while the programme introduces fresh knowledge and new impulses in the life of the company. The programme is highly popular, in the trainee semester starting September altogether 209 students of 15 institutions of higher education work – including 115 BSc and 94 MSc students. Trainees participating in the survey of the Telekom trainee programme highly appreciate that the programme is rich in content and well-suited in terms of college/university studies, and they also appreciate that trainees are treated as fully fledged associates of the company. 98% of participants would recommend this career option to friends and acquaintances.

Applications for the Magyar Telekom trainee semester starting in February 2014 can be entered between September 23 and October 20 on the karrier.telekom.hu site. Students with active legal student status, participating in higher education – college level (BSc and BA) or university level (MSc and MA) - studies either on day, evening or correspondence course are expected to apply. At least medium level English language skills constitute another criterion. The company signs part time labour contracts with a definite term with the students, with two months probation. The programme entails 20 hours engagement per week for the students, in flexible work time. Telekom’s programme starts with an orientation period, assisting in settling in the corporate culture. After this students participate in specific, project-like tasks in their professional fields. During the 5 moths programme the company provides continuous feedback to students and through the mentor system and personal consultations the personal, individual development of students receives special attention.

In addition to information available at the corporate website, Telekom also initiates interactive communication with interested parties on Facebook. Anyone can put questions on the site „I will be a trainee at Telekom” and can also get useful advices from the most credible source – from current trainees. Interested parties can also put questions in person to the company’s associates at the Monster Virtual Job Expo, in the frame of university programmes. The associates of Telekom visit the Budapest Technical and Economic University, the Budapest Corvinus University, three faculties of the Budapest Business College and the College King Zsigmond.More information about university programmes: karrier.telekom.hu
