T-Systems Symposium: Coca-Cola HBC won the Project of the Year prize

T-Systems Hungary awarded the Project of the YEAR prize for the third time, this time the winner was the Coca-Cola Hellenic data center migration. The prize was received by   Ivan Krentchev és Miglena Mladenova from chief officer Németh Mihály on November 30 at the Symposium of T-Systems, in the Budapest Congress Center.

Each year the company nominates three projects for the Project of the YEAR prize, which excel from among the others due to their novel or complex nature, and which posed a real professional challenge. The winner was chosen by the almost 2,000 visitors of the Symposium by voting on the mobile application of the event. This time the Coca-Cola Hellenic data center migration was the winner.

OTE (Hellenic Telecommunications Organization), the Greek telecommunication company belonging to the Deutsche Telekom Group and T-Systems Hungary signed a five year agreement about providing data center services with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, one of the largest bottlers of Coca-Cola products. According to the agreement, OTE in Athens provides the primary data center functions, while T-Systems Hungary in Budapest provides the secondary, back-up data center functions, the data restoration in an emergency. T-Systems Hungary set up a team of experienced consultants to facilitate the migration of one of the world’s largest integrated SAP infrastructures. The team’s tasks included planning and implementation of activities related to SAP and non-SAP database migration, as well as the fine tuning of systems, in order for the new environment to fully meet the service requirements set by Coca-Cola HBC. The success of the project is verified by the fact that it was completed ahead of the deadline.

Beside the Project of the YEAR prize, Kaszás Zoltán, chief officer of T-Systems Hungary also handed over three awards for partners. The transformation partner prize was awarded to ServiceNow, while the prize for the biggest growth went to Cisco System. This year as a new category – in line with the targets of T-Systems to promote innovation – and innovation partner prize was also awarded at the event. The prize was received by MOHAnet, the company that T-Systems cooperated with during the year, establishing and boosting the sales of mostly IoT type services.
