Budapest, March 18, 2022 10:00

Magyar Telekom continues to support Ferencváros Torna Club for another four years. The parties signed an agreement to this effect. Within the framework of the cooperation, Telekom remains the main sponsor of   Ferencváros Torna Club, the sponsor of FTC football team, and the name sponsor of the water polo, ice hockey, women's football and men's gymnastics club divisions.

Magyar Telekom has been the main sponsor of the FTC adult men's football team and the football youth team since 2014, and since 2018 it has also contributed to the club's success as the name sponsor of the women's football, water polo, ice hockey and men's gymnastics club divisions. This cooperation has been extended for another four years.

Tibor Rékasi, CEO of Magyar Telekom, said on the cooperation: "We see that recently sport has become more valued, more focused. On the one hand, it was an important factor in maintaining our mental and physical health during the covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, supporting our favorite teams and athletes, the community-building power of sport also helped many of us through the epidemic.  We are proud that FTC has made a lot of progress in the last four years, during our support. The football team has grown into a European level club, and the other four club divisions also made great progress. I trust that during the next chapter of our cooperation with Fradi we will continue to motivate many people to do sports, our digital solutions will contribute to the fans’ experience and to families spending quality time together."

"I've been the number one servant of Fradi for eleven years. When I took over the club I promised, and I thought with my colleagues, that if things are in order, great results and supporter would come to help FTC. Order has been established, and Ferencváros has been restored to its traditional place in Hungarian sport. That is why Telekom is here. When we signed the agreement with the company in 2018, we were confident that the club would have an even better period than before. In these four years our athletes have proven that we can live up to expectations with gold medals at the Olympics, World and European Championships. Our footballers have qualified for the group stage of the Champions League or Europe League three times in a row and won three championships. We are honored that Hungary's leading telecom service provider continues to trust our club. We do hope that we will be able to honor their support with successes, similar to previous years" - said Gábor Kubatov, Chairman of the FTC sport club.
