Industry4.0 solutions

Industry4.0 brings solutions to most everyday problems with a completely new approach, and its digitalization toolkit ranges from automation, through artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data, to the Internet of Things. The ultimate goal is to raise efficiency to a higher level in as many areas of industry as possible, optimize the use of resources, enable real-time decision-making, and provide ever better forecasts for eventual risks and disruptions.

The innovative and practice-oriented data-based solutions of Industry4.0 can be used in all segments of production, be it automated production or automated material handling, diagnostics of valuable and sensitive production equipment, prediction of expected errors and shutdowns, or even general areas such as strengthening work and life safety, environmental protection or more efficient energy management.

From the simple monitoring of production lines to the targeted processing and use of data collected during production, there is a long way to optimizing the utilization of machines, predictive maintenance or even preventing workplace accidents. The link between these is the innovative technologies such as the Internet of Things, comprehensive big data systems, cloud-based solutions, artificial intelligence or machine learning. By deploying these mass production can be transformed to serve individual needs, thus reducing losses and improving productivity and efficiency.

At the same time, very simple customer demands lie in the background: making the production process more efficient, minimizing unplanned shutdowns, predicting maintenance needs, making better use of warehouse space, avoiding workplace accidents. Their fulfillment is typically based on a complicated calculation and optimization task, which requires a big host of data, which must first be collected.

This requires an appropriate sensor technology selected on the basis of the parameters to be measured and the purpose of the measurement, which must be tailored to the current needs: these and the on-site survey will then decide size, design, accuracy, calibrability, or whether wireless or wired sensors should be installed. Just as the extent to which they can be integrated into existing systems and what they should be capable of:

only the targeted collection of data, or the display of measurement data in real time, or real-time alarms as well. Already during the selection consideration must be given to the environment in which the second phase, the processing of the data, will take place, and at what level, for example, whether it is necessary to explore deeper relationships and display the data in solutions suitable for preparing management analyses.

The data-based approach can be used in all segments of production, whether it is automated production or automated material handling, diagnostics of valuable and sensitive production equipment, prediction of expected errors and downtimes, or even general areas such as strengthening work and life safety, environmental protection, or higher efficiency energy management.

Even more forward-looking solutions can be created from coining industry 4.0 technologies. For example, Dronify, suitable for automatic inventory control, was created by strengthening the efforts made to improve the efficiency of warehousing with machine learning and machine vision. In addition to its other advantages, warehouse logistics using autonomous drones can save a significant amount of working hours and costs for repetitive and dangerous tasks.

The modular structure of some solutions enhances the high degree of customization. For example, the work and life safety module of the SmarTruck smart forklift platform can also be used autonomously: SafeTruck equips vehicles involved in production and storage processes with advanced safety functions (speed limitation, automatic emergency braking, collision prediction and avoidance), while helping the safety of workers with warnings.

In addition to increasing productivity, Magyar Telekom's customized and optimized industry 4.0 solutions are able to make corporate decision-making more real-time and more prudent, as well as alleviate serious problems such as the energy crisis or labor shortage.
