The Internet & Content Vertical is connecting Deutsche Telekom's Tier 1 IP backbone to every domain in the world and distributes global content with the highest quality and security worldwide with our products IP Transit/Peering and Content Delivery Networks (CDN).

The job:

Working within the Deutsche Telekom Global Carriers Internet & Content vertical, the Solution Consulting Manager’s role is integral to the development of sales opportunities and the delivery/maintenance of ICSS services to its customers.

Supporting and Working with sales and other functional areas of the business to develop (both technical and commercial) solutions, quotations and formal bids responses in the pre-sales phase through to post sales order management, delivery and service support.

Your area of responsibility is:

  • Customer facing pre-sales consultancy support. Developing, creating & presenting technical and commercial proposals to Customers up to C-level.
  • Customer relationships – Development of long term relationships with customers built on trust and a demonstrable understanding of their business becoming a trusted adviser.
  • Respond to Sales/customer questions and clarifications on ICSS products both technical and commercial.
  • Provide support on formal bids including full bid management.
  • Preparation of Business cases.
  • Order management and service delivery.
  • Service management support, billing dispute resolution liaising with PM and billing teams, preparation of RTO (reason for outage) reports, processing SLA penalty claims.

Qualification & Experience

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • A degree level qualification in engineering, IT or computer science.
  • 5 years of industry experience in Telecommunications and IT ideally in international infrastructure wholesale.
  • Customer facing experience to C – level especially in the pre-sales phase.
  • Experience of formal customer proposals or tenders.
  • Experience of order management, service delivery and service managementand a good understanding of the IP technology (IP Addressing & routing, MPLS ...)

  • and German language would be an advantage
