Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is one of the world's leading carriers and an innovation driver for IP-based solutions. We serve the international wholesale requirements of the DT Group with its international affiliates and more than 900 external customers worldwide.


  • Own product-, pricing and life cycle management for DT Global Carrier product “International Signaling for Roaming (SS7 and Diameter)”.
  • Further develop the product (Value Added Services, 5G…).
  • Possibly extend/change responsibility to similar tasks on the longer term.
  • He/she is part of a product management team distributed across different countries and collaborating in a hand on style.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Entrepreneurial.
  • Solid business & technical knowledge of Signaling and IPX (Messaging, RCS, Wi-Fi can be a plus).
  • Analytical, structured: prioritizes, builds a vision.
  • Pragmatic: “hands on”, highly adaptable.
  • Customer focus: at ease spending extended time with customers, negotiating/jointly finding solutions.
  • English (absolutely fluent for everyday communication) is mandatory, German language is desired.
  • Communications (written/verbal): constantly explaining the "obvious" so that it is easy to understand for everyone. “Straight talker” eliminating room for misunderstandings in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders. Influences and motivates groups where there is no direct reporting line. Strong consultancy and presentation skills. Efficiently coordinates big/complex projects and meets targets/deadlines. Has the reputation to reply instantly.

Main tasks of the position

  • Define the overall strategy of the product segment. Constantly adapt to new trends (e.g., IoT, 5G). Build a vision and explain it.
  • Define the “what” (product features, pricing, processes). Continuous improvement: work with Sales and customers regularly to collect market feedback and adapt the proposition.
  • Drive the technology partners/vendors to define the “how”.
  • Go to market: launch, communicate, and enable Sales.
  • End2end process ownership. Management of cross-functional teams (engineers, marketing, billing, …)
  • Peering partner management.
  • Align with all relevant stakeholders regularly.
  • Bid documentation.
  • Develop standard and customized pricing.
  • Customer contract validation.
  • Work with external partners (white label solutions).
  • Contribution to financial planning - revenue and other forecast. Compile best of class executive presentation
