Paintings restored with DT support

Budapest, June 16, 2005

Deutsche Telekom has sponsored the restoration of two paintings in the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts. The masterpieces by a German and an Austrian painter were formally handed over to the museum by Dr. Klaus Hartmann, Chief Financial Officer of Magyar Telekom.

The paintings by 18th century Austrian painter Johann Michael Rottmayr and 17th century German painter Joachim von Sandrart were recommended to the attention of Deutsche Telekom by the Friends of the Museum of Fine Arts, because in 2002 Deutsche Telekom had sponsored the restoration of the work of a 16th century Cologne master. Klaus Hartmann stressed at the formal handing over ceremony of the paintings that DT is a long-term strategic investor that makes a point of promoting the conservation of the cultural values of Hungary.
