⁣Campus Network

Campus networks are equally indispensable for modern business processes and innovative industry 4.0 applications. Devices connected to these exclusive mobile networks are not required to share resources: they can use the entire network capacity dedicated to them independently of public users.

⁣Magyar Telekom provides the private mobile network infrastructure as a commercial service, which its specialists build at the customer's premises and according to the expectations specified by the customer. For this purpose, T-Systems develops Industry 4.0 solutions based on individual customer requirements and the parameters specified in the service contract – coverage, capacity, data speed, delay, availability, reliability – converting into business results the benefits of fast and flexible 4G and/or 5G connection.

⁣5G technologies enabling automated, efficient production workflows and applications based on them will be used primarily in industrial areas, benefiting from the competitive edge derived from them. The next-generation mobile networks provide users with new opportunities with the help of wireless systems that are faster and more reliable than ever before.

⁣5G technology has many advantages. These include extremely high and guaranteed data speed, low delay, strong data security, better availability, high reliability and low energy consumption. 4G can provide similar benefits – without low response time and guaranteed data speed - in cases where there is no need or opportunity to create a 5G-based network.

⁣Whichever technology is the starting point, they can be used to create an exclusive mobile network that is more closed and protected than public networks in an industrial site or in an office building. To do this, in the first round, about 10 percent of the capacity must be disconnected from the public network in the given area, and a secure private network must be created from it, and then the devices that can exclusively use the dedicated network must be activated. This design allows devices to share the network capacity independently of other – public – users, which they only have to share with each other. This means extremely efficient resource management, which guarantees functions essential for modern business processes and innovative industry 4.0 applications.

⁣The campus network, which can be installed quickly and can be used for various purposes, was first tested under real-life production conditions at the site of BorgWarner Oroszlány Kft. Campus Network provides a high-availability and high-security wireless solution in the field of communication of self-driving vehicles, robots and machines, positioning and sensor technology, among others, which can be used exclusively by the authorized devices.
