New Features to be added to Matáv's Voice Mail Service
Budapest, August 10, 2000
On August 10, 2000, MATÁV will extend its Voice Mail service. The new supplementary services will be available as standard without any extra charge, monthly subscription fee or usage fee to the more than 215,000 existing Voice Mail subscribers, as well as to all those intending to sign up for this service in the future.
In the future, the Voice Mail system will also, assuming the calling
party has agreed to the disclosure of their number, indicate the
numbers from which the calls have been received prior to playing the
messages. The Voice Mail Call Number Recorder will also keep records of
the numbers from which a call has been made without leaving a message
(again, as-suming the calling party has agreed to the disclosure of
their number). This means that Voice Mail service users will also be
notified of calls re-ceived where no message was left. Also in such
case, the system will state the numbers from which a call has been
initiated.
The third new feature in Matáv's Voice Mail service is the Voice Mail
Call Completion feature. Once the message or the recorded call number
is listened to, the system will, by pressing the '0' key, automatically
dial the number from which a call has been initiated in the
subscriber's absence. Such calls will be charged at the regular call
rate (switching fee plus the charge for the period of the call).
