Budapest, July 4, 2012 10:00

Innovative, simple and convenient voice-based identification for the first time from Magyar Telekom!

Magyar Telekom is the first in Hungary to introduce voice identification, which will facilitate not only a convenient, but also safer than the prevailing so far solutions mode of customer identification.

Beginning from July 2012 Magyar Telekom customers may identify themselves by their voice also at telephone customer services. This innovative method of identification is even more efficient than the 40-trait finger print, as it is able to clearly identify the caller on the basis of close to a hundred voice traits. The application of the technology in civil life is yet an innovation, but thanks to the positive experiences, the development of Nuance company spreads fast.  Altogether 20 million customers use the system now with great satisfaction.Magyar Telekom is the first to introduce voice-based identification in the Hungarian market. „Thanks to the new system, the customer’s password will no longer be needed for telephone customer service, as we can identify the customer on the basis of his or her voice after the MT customer identifier or telephone number has been provided. So our customers may settle their business without the need to harmonise any additional data. We trust that this safe and convenient function will, in addition to increasing the satisfaction of our customers, accelerate customer service as well”– emphasised Keszég Attila, chief sales and services officer of Magyar Telekom.

Voice identification can be set easily with the help of an automatic service after providing the customer’s password by calling telephone numbers 1430 and 1412, where the following sentence will have to be repeated for recording the voice sample: „My voice is my identifier; it is as simple and convenient.” Maximum 5 voice samples can be stored for one T-Mobile phone number or MT customer identifier, and, of course, the traditional, password-based identification will continue to be possible for administration. The upfront charge of the special and convenient security function is gross HUF 99 per voice sample. Magyar Telekom offers voice recording free of charge to our customer recording the first 20 thousand voice samples, and our customers who are at the Platina level of eligibility to benefits.
