A Unique Chance from Telekom for NGOs to Collect Donations

Budapest, November 9, 2012 10:00

The Donation Line operated by Telekom has become almost legendary: the initiative makes it possible for everybody to contribute personally to solving major social problems. NGOs are invited to submit applications by 22 November to the competition announced in the framework of Telekom’s hello holnap! Donation Line.

The winning organisations—a total of six in a given year—can be beneficiaries for two months: the amount collected from the calls of the Donation Line will support their endeavours. Apart from ensuring the call number Telekom will also help through TV commercials with a social message, as well as in the preparation of online advertisements and media purchases to have the message of those supported reach the highest possible number of people. An important change in comparison to the practice so far is that instead of the usual number, in accordance with the regulation, from January 2013 the Donation Line can be called only from the new and longer number, which is 13688.

The programs entered for the competition of the hello holnap! Donation Line are primarily expected to focus on topics related to sustainability, with special regard to the issues most affecting society, such as those related to children’s health and education, equal opportunities or volunteering. In Telekom’s view it is the not for profit organisations acting in this area that can do the most for the whole society and the most significant positive change can be achieved by supporting their work.

Applications can be submitted by completing the application form and enclosing the annexes listed. The application form can be found here:
