hello tomorrow! - Sustainability press award

Budapest, October 7, 2013 18:00

Magyar Telekom and the Sustainability Media Club announced a competition for a media award. Hungarian publications reporting progressively and transparently about sustainability issues, including environmental, social, economic phenomena, initiatives or situations can be entered by May 2014. Providing a more than half year long nomination period parties issuing the competition intend to promote socially minded thinking and changing attitudes.

Why do Magyar Telekom and the Sustainability Media Club announce a sustainability press award for the third time? Because we talk a lot about this but not enough. We are acting upon it but we are not enough yet. Many do not even know what to associate the term sustainability with: responsibility, selflessness, peace, modesty or the ability to retain our existence? One or any of these: the topic is at hand.

Applicants are expected to enter materials for the sustainability press award in three categories:„From below”: case descriptions and stories effecting residents, individuals and minor communities, examples for solutions requiring initiatives from below,

„Wide angle”: outlining Hungarian social, environmental and economic phenomena, impacts and counter effects, green innovation and education topics,

„Blog”: theme sites discussing topics of sustainability and responsible actions are warded separately, by assessing content, quality and readership.

Telekom awards the winners of category From Below and Wide Angle with HUF 500,000 each while the winner of the Blog category receives HUF 300,000.
