Switch off your lights and electric equipment for one hour, and join our sustainability party at Millenáris!

Earth Hour is a global initiative of voluntary nature striving to draw the attention of people, companies, organizations and governments to the problems of pollution and excessive consumption. Those who join or support the initiative worldwide are asked to switch off unnecessary lights and electric equipment for one hour on the last Saturday of March each year. Another request is made as part of the year-2011 event, which is that we take pledge to lower our consumption and protect the nature during the rest of the year, too.

This year’s event shall take place from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on Saturday, March 26 . Join the greatest global climate protection initiative and switch off your lights and other electric equipment for its duration.

In addition to settlements and people, companies can join the initiative, too. Prompted by this opportunity, Magyar Telekom and its T-Mobile and T-Home offer brands take part in the initiative, as in previous years, and undertake to switch off the lights of their shops, office buildings and billboards.

Unplug and unwind at Millenáris

The award ceremony of the sustainability campaign called hello holnap! Pledge Contest launched in December shall take place at Millenáris at 7:00 pm on Saturday. The program includes dance classes and flashmobs, as well as concerts of Heaven Street Seven and the winner of last year’s Sustainability Day 3 creative contest, Tai Chi Teacher who will play their winning song from last year. Many small surprises await the participants, especially the bikers, as the event is truly bike-friendly. You can also return your old, broken mobile phones. Your host will be Péter Novák.
