Matáv homepage redesigned

On October 1, 2003 the Matáv homepage www.matav.hu is appearing with new structure and image.

The transformation was preceded by months of careful preparatory work. We polled our customers and partners, asked the visitors of the home page about their opinion and studied Hungarian and international trends. Thanks to the new graphic designs, the homepage has become more colorful and user-friendly. We have structured the information to better serve the requirements of the users and for easier navigation we have introduced a newly developed system with which any sub-site can be reached from the opening site with no more than 4 clicks.
We have also improved the readability of the extremely ample information available on the homepage, and the speed of page impression has been increased.

On the opening page, besides company news, a key place has been assigned to the on-line services, such as the on-line directory (where you can search by name and telephone number), the ePont (where you can order our products and services), the eSzámla (where you can check your current bill status), the on-line customer service (here, we are available around the clock), the tariff package calculator (which helps you select the tariff package best fitting your requirements), on-line telegram posting (on this surface, you can select and send a telegram).

Under Residential Services and Business Services menu items, we give detailed information on our products and services and offer customized solutions to small, medium and large corporate customers. We have collected the information that can be of interest to investors and the press (with abundant background material and images) and put it all on separate pages for easy access. In an effort to please visitors, in future we are going to fill with even more interesting, entertaining and informative content one of the most popular columns of the home page, the "Csemege" (Tidbit) corner, which we started half a year ago.

The redesigned matav.hu is the biggest and most visited corporate site in Hungary, which offers valuable communication surface for our customers, partners, the press, investors and professional and political decisions-makers, in both Hungarian and English. The site comprises over 6 000 pages, and was the first among the Hungarian corporate web pages to be put on the official webaudit list of Median Opinion and Market Research Institute. This means that the Institute officially certifies the visit data of the home page: according to the latest figures, 17 000 people visit the www.matav.hu pages on an average working day, and they make 161 000 page impressions (with these figures, the visits rating of the home page exceeds several Hungarian commercial portals and Internet newspapers).
