Budapest, July 3, 2013 14:30

The duration of the rehabilitation process varies by individuals, depending on the abilities, skills, age and physical status of the visually impaired person. Considering all aspects, in 1 year about 100 visually impaired individuals can be treated. As part of the protocol process a functional visual check up is carried out, followed by visual training, orientation training and teaching how to participate in public transportation, assisting to develop a new way of carrying on, including training about using communication and IT tools, learning the Braille writing and reading as well as psychological consultancy. Upon completing the process, clients will be capable of carrying on with life by themselves, their self assessment is improved and in many cases is reconstituted, their social relations improve and therefore they can also integrate into the labour market.Callers of the hello holnap!  donation line of Telekom in the coming two months assists this work: the total value of tools inevitable for the work of the Foundation amounts to HUF 3 million.
