As a standard setting example, being the first in Hungary’s telecommunications sector, Magyar Telekom intends to motivate its Suppliers towards harmonising business, social and environmental interests. It is with this endeavour in mind that it established in 2008 the DOLPHIN Prize (Dolphin stands as an acronym for the Hungarian name of the initiative, which translates into English as: Prize for a Committed, Sustainable, and Innovative Generation), Magyar Telekom, by donating the prize, intends to promulgate the idea of sustainable development and thus recognise the activities taken on its behalf.
